Gold Country Pole Vaulters

“Going for the Gold!”

Information about Gold Country Pole Vaulters:

Gold Country Pole Vaulting is an independent club in the Placer-Nevada County area in California where pole vaulters train year round.  REAL pole vaulters have no "off season".  For this reason, it is our desire to assist schools in the Northern California area with pole vault coaching, and we have established a full time club. Coach Nick Vogt, director of the club, has many years of experience coaching pole vaulters with continued success.  In addition to coaching at our facilities, our other instructors (all pole vault safety-certified) have coached outstanding athletes in local high schools and colleges during the spring season.  Club members may also compete in various competitions in the summer, fall, and winter. On an individual basis, we will help athletes contact college coaches for scholarships as well.

Our Indoor Facility at William Jessup University, Rocklin, CA: WJU is home to a modern large UCS pole vault pit and all-weather runway, located within a large building.  We have a video camera to record and evaluate practices, sliding boxes, and more. Growth is an important part of this club, and we are always adding new stations for drills and strength training. Video review takes place on sight with a portable television.

Our Instructors are all pole vault safety-certified and have been involved in the sport of pole vaulting for numerous years.  Nick Vogt, The director of the Gold Country Pole Vault Club, has been coaching pole vaulters in the Northern California area for over 25 years.  He is currently coaching at William Jessup University.  He previously coached runners and vaulters at Yuba College in Marysville, California, from 1994 – 2002.
