An unprecedented movement of evangelistic outreach is developing around the world, occurring around the major sporting events that capture the attention of people in every country.
You and your church may apply strategies during the Olympic Games. The principles and strategies apply to other major sporting events as well. In 1996, over 70,000 churches in 18 countries partnered with committed Olympic athletes.
Important Dates: 2008 USA Olympic Track & Field Trials: June 27 - July 6 in Eugene, Oregon. 2008 Summer Olympic Games: August 8 -24 in Beijing, China. 2010 Winter Olympic Games: Feb 11 - 26 in Vancouver, Canada.
World Interest in Sports and the Media
Many competitors desire to share their faith in print and other media during the Olympics. Well-timed strategies and high-quality resources developed around the Games empower local church outreaches through audio, video, music, literature, radio, sports instructional clinics and sports teams.
