Prayer · Please pray for: · The sports persons on the national team of your country · The sports persons who are sharing their love for Christ through literature, video, audio, and radio. · For the churches located in the host city who are providing housing, meals, and hospitality for ministry teams · A safe event

Sports and Scripture Recreation and sports have historically been emphasized in the Scriptures and in the life of the church. The church for centuries has utilized sports as a means of ministry to teach biblical values. Discipline, endurance, perseverance, love and team work--each a fruit of the Spirit--are some of the biblical values the church has taught through sports. The Apostle Paul and other Bible writers use sports as illustrations to communicate biblical values and attitudes. Paul writes in Ephesians and Philippians, "To run the race to win," and to "Seek eternal trophies."
